AuthorFest is a gathering of authors and other New Hampshire community officials working together to raise literacy awareness. At the event, authors representing genres ranging from children and young adult to adult - both fiction and non-fiction - hold a meet and greet, sign books for their fans, talk about the importance of literacy in their community, hold raffles to raise money for a local literacy organization, and award individuals who are an exemplary Leaders Inspiring Readers.

Leaders Inspiring Readers is a program developed in 2009 to honor those who go 'above and beyond the call of duty' in their devotion toward improving literacy in their community. Whether they are a librarian, teacher or volunteer, this award is given to the most outstanding individual promoting the cause. Though there can be only one winner per year, all individuals should be recognized for their service. If you or someone you know fits the title of a Leader Inspiring Readers, please nominate them by filling out this form and sending it to us for review. (.doc)
